Oyo State Police Recruitment

The Oyo State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, and conclude on Friday, April 18, 2026. The exercise will take place at the Officers’ Mess, Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.

This crucial phase of the recruitment, a collaborative effort between the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force, aims to ensure a transparent and merit-based selection process for prospective police constables.

•Venue: Officers’ Mess, Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.

•Dates: Monday, March 9, 2026, to Friday, April 18, 2026.

•Confirmation: Candidates must log on to npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to confirm their status and print necessary documents.

Required Documents at Screening Venue:

Applicants are mandated to present the following documents, neatly arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached:

•Invitation Slip (with assigned table)

•Screening forms

•Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognized medical hospital

•NIN printout or NIMC card

•O’ Level certificate

•Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age

•Local Government/State of Origin certificate (duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary)

•Trade Test/Certificate (for specialists only)

•Duly completed Guarantors Form

•Original and duplicate copies of all credentials.

Dress Code: All applicants are required to appear dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings, as prescribed for the exercise.

Warning Against Fraudsters:

Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Femi Haruna, reiterated that the recruitment exercise is entirely free of charge and will be conducted with the highest level of transparency and merit. He strongly advised applicants to disregard fraudsters or any individual demanding financial inducement, warning that such persons will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The Command assures all eligible applicants of a smooth, transparent, and credible screening exercise, emphasizing its commitment to upholding integrity throughout the process.
